Not a whole lot going on right now

After what feels like a month of being out of town, the last few weekends have been uneventful, and this is on purpose. Last week was a little busy with a birthday party and my girls bunco night. It was a nice surprise to have Ellen in town for the night for a work trip. We went to a CD release party for Easton Corbin.

The rest of the weekend was spent doing house hold things and watching football. It's becoming extremely painful to watch my beloved Auburn Tigers play, but at least we did WIN! Saturday night we went to the UF alumni bar to watch the Gators vs. UT. I only stayed for half the game because evidently you can smoke in this bar and it literally made me sick. I actually think that is why I felt bad the rest of the weekend. I mean, who still smokes in bars???? It's so freakin disgusting and just ruins your whole experience. I guess this was an 18 and up bar because it's against the law to smoke in bars in Tennessee if children will be present. I got one good pictures before I had to leave.

Sorry the blog is going to be lacking the rest of the week. I have a big work conference I have to attend at the end of the week/weekend, so I'm going to be busy getting ready for that.

Weekend Continued

Sunday morning, we spent another long day at the beach. It was an absolute blast.
My "beach days" are a little different than they used to be. 3 years ago you would have seen me laying out all day, no hat, SPF 8 and I would be tanning bed tan before I even went to the beach.

Now, I'm noticing the wrinkles and sun spots and my lay out routine is slightly different.
First, I get spray tanned before I even go to the beach, so it looks like I've been out in the sun all day but haven't at all. :)
Second: There is nothing but SPF 30, 50 and 85 in my beach bag

I not only wear at hat, but I wear a giant hat and cover-up most of the day now.

And my new favorite purchase of the year. My new beach chair with an umbrella attached, so I can stay out of the sun.

Here a few more pictures from our trip.

Labor Day

I was able to spend Labor Day weekend with some of my very best friends in the entire world aka my Auburn girls aka my sorority sisters aka literally the best friends in the world.
Unfortunately, not all of our group was able to attend the festivities, but we still had an awesome time. We went to Watercolor, FL for a girls weekend to celebrate Marty and her upcoming nuptials.
P.S. Watercolor is an AWESOME place to go to the beach, you can walk everywhere and nobody has to drive.
We had the most amazing weather the whole weekend!

The first night, we went to a wine tasting and then had tacos.

Saturday morning, some of us hosted a Bridal Brunch at Another Broken Egg for Marty. The food was AMAZING and so was the service. We had such a great time and they took care of everything. All we had to do was show up and pay the bill.

The Beautiful Bride and all the ladies
After a long day at the beach, we all came home to watch the Auburn/Clemson game. Our Auburn Tigers are not looking very good this year, but it was so fun to watch the game together.
I just can't get over how fun these things are

More pictures to come tomorrow.

Happy Birthday Dad

Today is my dad's bday! This birthday is a little more special than normal for a lot of reasons.
Happy Birthday Daddy! We love you so very much and can't wait for MANY MANY more birthdays!

Boston Last Day

Jordan had his work meeting on Tuesday, so I spent the morning/afternoon by myself touring around Boston.

Fenway Park

Tuesday night: Jordan and I went to a Sox game at Fenway Park. This is a must do if you go to Boston. I don't really like baseball, but it was fun seeing this stadium. There isn't a bad seat in the house at this stadium and you can walk all around it during the game, so I suggest getting cheap tickets or seats in the Green Monster is you can get them.

Pre-game beers at CasknFlagon. Famous bar across from stadium

That was our trip! If you are planning a visit, do not hesitate to ask me any questions about where to go, where to stay, or what to do. It was an awesome trip with my hubby.
Thanks Jordan for all the memories!!!!! I love you!!!!!

Boston Day 3

Day 3: We had lunch with some of Jordan's  family friends. We then took the train to Cambridge to see Harvard. That night we had a nice dinner at Chart House on the water. Jordan and I have realized though that you just don't have to pay a lot for good seafood. The place was really nice, but we waaay over paid for  just "ok" seafood. I guess being from the gulf kind of spoils you in the Seafood department. From now on, we are sticking to steak when it comes to nice places.

Boston Day 2

Boy was Day 2 LONG. We walked the entire Freedom Trail on Sunday. You have to do this if you visit Boston because there is so much to see. It took us all day because we stopped A LOT along the way to do a few tours, have a couple cocktails, and explore.

Brunch at Beantown Pub

This is the only place you can have a cold Sam Adams while looking at  "cold" Sam Adams

Sam Adams grave across the street from Beantown. "Cold" Sam Adams

We did a tour here and learned more about the Boston Massacre
Just a side note here: Turns out being dramatic goes waaaaay back. The whole Boston Massacre was way over dramatized to get everyone upset and it eventually helped start the Revolution. If it wasn't for a little drama, we may never have become the United States as we know it.

Having a beer at the oldest bar in America: Bell in Hand

We had absolutely AMAZING WEATHER while we were there. It was high 70's and no humidity.

Our Boston Trip

Jordan and I have been wanting to go to Boston for years now and it's on my bucket list.  Jordan and I love to visit new places and actually go do things besides just going to the beach for vacation. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE THE BEACH, but there are so many cool cities in the US that we have made it a point to try and visit other things than just the Gulf.
Anyways, I have to say this was hands down one of the best trips we have EVER taken. It was just the two of us, so we did whatever we wanted to do. It was one of those trips that strengths everything in your marriage and reminded me how lucky I am to have Jordan in my life. I can't really describe it, but it was just amazing.
I HIGHLY suggest taking a trip here if you like history, a cool city, and some good cocktails at some really cool places. Jordan and I may have spent a lot of our time stopping in bars to have a drink. :)
I have so many pictures, so I'll break the trip up over this week.
